Guided Hike in Cataloochee Valley

Join Danny Bernstein for a guided hike on Pretty Hollow Gap Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains in the Cataloochee Valley on October 14, 2014. The hike is part of the Classic Hikes of the Smokies series. It will be a 8.7 miles hike and is a moderately difficult trail. Hear about the history of the first Cataloochee Valley  settlers, the historical buildings, and the cemeteries and families. Nawger Nob Arts and Crafts Fair in September

The two day Nawger Nob Arts & Crafts Fair is Saturday and Sunday September 27 and 28, 2014 in Townsend, TN this year.  The craft fair takes place at Nawger Knob Shopping Area with the tents under the shade of the trees. Townsend Fall Heritage Festival and Old Timers Day

Townsend, TN is known as The Peaceful Side of the Smokies and is the gateway to Cades Cove. Every fall in September Townsend put on the Townsend Fall Heritage Festival and Old Timers Day . This year the two day festival takes place on Friday Sept. 26 and Saturday Sept. 27, 2014. The festival has a bluegrass stage with bluegrass bands all day and into the night.
