 Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival Townsend TN Townsend, TN is having its annual Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival this weekend. The festival is on May 7, 2022 from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm at the Townsend Visitor Center. The Bigfoot Festival this year is the 2nd Annual event held in Townsend. The festival will feature Bigfoot competitions, famous bigfoot researchers, guest speakers, live music, vendors, food trucks, and a few other surprises. The cost to get in is $5 cash at the gate. Synchronous Fireflies 2017 Dates In GSMNP

Park Service Announces Synchronous Fireflies 2017 Dates The dates for the synchronous firefly 2017 event at Elkmont this summer are May 30 – June 6, 2017. During these dates the shuttles will run taking those with tickets to Elkmont campgrounds each evening for the firefly viewing event. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park service has announced it will again use the online lottery system for tickets to the annual synchronous firefly event at Elkmont this summer. Christmas In The Smokies Bluegrass Festival Pigeon Forge is the site for Christmas In The Smokies Bluegrass Festival. The four-day festival is being held in December at the Ramada Inn and Smoky Mountain Convention Center from December 9-12, 2015.  Hosting this year will be by Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road with Master of Ceremonies Royce Jordan. Great Smoky Mountains Synchronous Fireflies Viewing Dates for 2015 Announced The park service has announced the dates for the annual viewing of the Great Smoky Mountains synchronous fireflies light show at Elkmont for June 2015. The dates for the shuttle buses will be June 2-9, 2015. The park service reports advanced reservations of parking passes have sold out but there will be 85 passes each day of the event available.
