Christmas In The Smokies

Christmas In The Smokies Bluegrass Festival Pigeon Forge is the site for Christmas In The Smokies Bluegrass Festival. The four-day festival is being held in December at the Ramada Inn and Smoky Mountain Convention Center from December 9-12, 2015.  Hosting this year will be by Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road with Master of Ceremonies Royce Jordan. The festival gets started on Dec. 9 at 4:45PM. Just some of the performers this year scheduled to appear are Bobby Osborne & Rocky Top Xpress, James King, Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers, Goldwing Express. Marty Raybon and Full Circle, and Sideline….

October Sets New Record

Fall Foliage Makes October Second Busiest Month On Record Thanks to this year’s vivid and colorful fall foliage display the Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials report this past October was the busiest month since 1987. The number of visitors to the park in October of 1987 is reported as the busiest October with October 2015 being the second busiest month on record. It was a banner fall foliage display with fall colors predicted to be the best in several years. A Dollywood Christmas

A Dollywood Christmas Celebration It’s another  Dollywood Christmas season! Dollywood Theme Park is always fun but at Christmas the theme park turns into a Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration for the young and  old to enjoy. A Smoky Mountain Christmas starts November 7, 2015 and runs through January 3, 2016. After the National Southern Gospel and Harvest Celebration Dollywood closes for a week while the theme park is decorated with thousands of lights, hundreds of Christmas Trees and Christmas decorations.
